Course Description

In this course, Jonathan Greenblatt, the current CEO of the Anti-Defamation League and the previous Director of Social Innovation for President Obama, will share concrete tips and strategies that everyone can take to fight hate in their communities, workplaces, and online. Learn how to recognize the signs of bias and develop strategies for taking a stand in your communities. Whether you’re a human resources manager, a parent, a social entrepreneur, or a concerned citizen, you’ll learn strategies to become a force for good—and help the people around you do the same.

About the Instructor

Jonathan Greenblatt

Jonathan Greenblatt is the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and its 6th National Director. He is an accomplished entrepreneur and innovative leader with experience in the private, public, and non-profit sectors.

Prior to joining the ADL, Greenblatt served as Special Assistant to President Obama and Director of the Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation. He came to that role after co-founding Ethos Water, the premium bottled water that helps children around the world access clean water, which was acquired by Starbucks in 2005. Following the acquisition, Jonathan was named vice president of global consumer products at Starbucks and joined the board of the Starbucks Foundation. Prior to this, Jonathan also founded All for Good, one of the largest databases of volunteer opportunities on the Internet and served as CEO of GOOD Worldwide, a diversified media company whose products include the award-winning GOOD Magazine and its popular website.

Jonathan graduated cum laude with a BA from Tufts University and earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Jonathan has served on numerous startup and non-profit boards, including the African Leadership Foundation, Kevita, and KaBOOM! He is a member of the 2006 class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute and is a Next Generation Fellow of the American Assembly.
