Victoria is the general coordinator of the Kanan Kay Alliance since 2022, an intersectoral collaboration initiative that seeks to establish an effective network of Fisheries Refuge Zones (ZRP) and strengthen small-scale fisheries in the Yucatan Peninsula. Prior to joining the Alliance, Victoria was part of the Gulf of California Marine Program where she focused on understanding Gulf of California community fisheries from a spatial perspective. Since 2019, she has been part of National Geographic Explorer for the development of an App for the collection of artisanal fishing data. He has participated in outreach projects such as Clubs de Ciencia México, Divulgologas and the initiatives Hablando como Niños and Diario de Exploradora.
