Sohara Mehroze Shachi is a freelance journalist and development professional working with United Nations Development Programme, addressing climate change impacts on vulnerable groups, particularly women, and mobilizing climate finance. Sohara is the first Bangladeshi winner of the Asian Young Environmental Journalist of the Year Award. She is also implementing a city greening project and trains young journalists on a voluntary basis. Sohara is a graduate of Yale University.
