Ken Mwenda Gikunda
Ken Mwenda Gikunda is the co-Founder and Managing Director of eMobilis Mobile Technology Institute, the first mobile technology training institution of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa. With over 4,500 students trained, eMobilis has already been well received having secured contracts with Microsoft, Google Foundation, Safaricom and the World Bank for custom training, software development and incubation programs. Ken undertook his Economics Degree at Queens University in Canada before completing his MBA at the University of Victoria with an International Exchange at Edhec in Lille, France. He has worked for Technology firms, Industry Associations and a Chamber of Commerce in Canada during his 14 year stint in North America before moving back to Kenya and working in the banking field for 4 years at Citibank and Barclays. The iHub in 2015 named and appreciated Ken as a Top 100 contributor to Kenya’s technology community.
