Jyothi is a clinical psychologist working with children, adolescents and adults using principles of Positive Psychology. She founded Thrive Foundation in 2016 to take the unified services of mental health and pedagogy to underserved school communities in Chennai, India. Thrive trains students on critical social and emotional skills such as self-awareness, emotional regulation, social skills, goal-setting and responsible decision making. Thrive is committed to positive youth development in the community and in order to achieve this, trains and empowers college students to work on fostering these life skills with school children in low-income schools to enable growth, exposure, empathy and learning in all stakeholders. Currently 34 college students are impacting 392 middle school children in two low-income schools in Chennai and Sonepat, Haryana.
