Gerald Otim
Founder and Lead at Ensibuuko
East Africa Fellow
Otim is the Founder and lead at Ensibuuko, a Uganda-based fintech startup. Otim's story has an interesting twist: He was accepted into the Fellowship program for his work with Educate! – an education non-profit in Uganda; and he made the decision to quit his job half way through the Fellowship program (In fact, right after the Adaptive Leadership seminar) to establish Ensibuuko. Ensibuuko has developed an award winning cloud-based and mobile money integrated microfinance management software platform, designed to enable nonbank financial institutions to better serve their customers people. Ensibuuko's platform is used by financial cooperatives and rural microfinances across Africa.
