Fatou is the national coordinator for Buzz Gambia. Prior to this, she worked as the Regional Manager of a microfinance company, providing loans to rural women in the country. Her responsibility included supervising the work of credit officers and supervisors providing loans to women. She has also worked with the ministry of youth and sports as a Youth Coordinator, coordinating the recruitment and training of young people to acquire entrepreneurial skills to enable them create their own enterprises.
