Billene is the Founder and Managing Director of Earuyan Solutions – an Ethiopian social impact driven feminist company which promotes gender equality consciousness and transformative feminist leadership through design and delivery of trainings, workshops, seminars, commissioned research and project design/management. Billene is also writer and curator of the pan-African feminist digital space AfricanFeminism(AF), augmenting the voices of African feminists throughout the continent. She is the published author of Transformative Spaces: Enabling Authentic Female Leadership through Self-Transformation. Billene holds a master’s in Gender and Peacebuilding from the University for Peace and a second master’s in Peace Studies & International Conflict Transformation from the University of Innsbruck.
