Resilient Small-Scale Fisheries Leadership Accelerator
Virginia is the Adaptive Management Program Director at the Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association (TASA) and the Co-Manager of the Turneffe Atoll Marine Reserve (TAMR) in Belize. Virginia is responsible for developing and implementing TASA's Adaptive Management-Science program at TAMR, ensuring that quality data informs the management of the reserve. She is also part of TASA's management team. Virginia has been involved in Belize's small-scale fishery for the past 14 years. Prior to joining TASA, Virginia worked with the Wildlife Conservation Society-Belize Marine Program for a decade where she was integral in the advancement of the marine program. During this time, she co-authored several papers and served on many national committees including the National Spawning Aggregation Working Group abd the National Coral Reef Monitoring Network, among others. Virginia is a proud member of the Belize Audubon Society and is currently serving her third term as a director on the BAS board.
