Vini Pathak
Vini is a Young Professional at Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS), a poverty alleviation project focused on improving access to financial, livelihood and social services for the rural poor across Bihar. She works in the Financial Inclusion vertical, enabling Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to gain access to formal financial services like credit, savings, insurance and pensions. She has been working on communitybased models leveraging technology to bridge gaps between banks and rural poor. She has gained experience in the domain of capacity building, financial inclusion, livelihoods, project management and implementation. Previously, she served as Block Project manager at BRLPS spearheading institution & capacity building of 900+ SHGs, facilitating credit access through banks, to promote sustainable livelihood models at the block level. She holds a Master’s in Environment Management from Indian Institute of Forest Management. Her interest areas are monitoring & evaluation, public policy & management, social participatory methods & financial inclusion.
