Vaida is a gender activist and the Co-Founder of Amazing Woman Dialogues (AWD). AWD is a bespoke mentorship program that empowers women to embrace leadership positions through training, photography and art. Through the program, women learn to be limitless, confident and visionary. AWD alumni have spearheaded major campaigns in Kenya, started their own businesses and successfully launched careers in different sectors. The ripple effect that comes after empowering women is what fuels Vaida’s passion. She was awarded a Generation Change Fellowship by the United States Institute of Peace in 2016. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Gender and Development Studies from Kenyatta University.
