Tom is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Shamiri Institute, an organization committed to providing affordable evidence-based mental healthcare to young people across Sub-Saharan Africa. He has founded and worked at organizations whose missions have been to lift communities out of poverty. He co-founded GreenChar, a social enterprise whose mission was to provide homes and institutions in rural communities and urban slums with clean cooking energy. Tom graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology (High Honors) from Harvard University.
