Tayeb is a Tanzanian development professional with a decade of experience driving impact within the social business sector. His niche has been established in starting and scaling solutions to development in Tanzania. Having started his development career with SNV, establishing and implementing a national-level biogas program, he then went on to co-found the largest biogas enterprise in East Africa called SimGas. Following this, Tayeb has co-founded and established a range of businesses within Tanzania that are looking to create significant social impact, from the largest co-working space in Tanzania to an affordable chain of primary schools and now Totohealth Tanzania to reduce maternal, newborn and child mortality, and the early identification of disabilities for children. Tayeb is passionate about contributing towards capacity-building in the social enterprise space by being involved in various major social incubators/accelerators in the region, and extending ongoing mentorship of their entrepreneurs.
