Tanvir has over 12 years of experience working with marginalised communities in Bangladesh. He takes a deep interest in the intersectionality of identity politics and social justice. Currently, he is curating a book examining and preserving the oral history of minorities in Bangladesh. He has been awarded 'International Visitor Leadership Program' 2017 by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
