Dr Ho Ngoc Son is currently a Professor in Climate change and Indigenous knowledge at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry. He obtained a PhD in Global Environmental Change (2013) from the Australian National University. He has published many peer-reviewed articles on indigenous knowledge and climate change adaptation of ethnic minority people in Vietnam. Dr Son also worked as a Deputy Director of the Agriculture and Forestry Research and Development Centre for Mountainous Region (ADC) in Thai Nguyen province where he has led many development projects . All these projects aim at promoting the equality, the rights and voices and empowerment for ethnic minority women in remote areas of Vietnam. His work is to ensure that vulnerable people are empowered to achieve their fullest potential to lead their lives in an equal, inclusive and progressive society.
