Sadikul Islam is the Founder and President of Brihonnola, an organization that has been working to build an inclusive society bringing the marginalized transgender community within the mainstream. Brihonnola is devoted to eradicating systematic inequality, social stigmas and severe discrimination faced by transgender people by applying friendly approaches and innovative ideas. Sadikul Islam holds an M.ED degree in Special Education from the University of Dhaka.
