Roomi is Chief Technical Officer at Punjab Public Health Agency(PPHA) which is the provincial public health institution of the Government of Punjab. At PPHA she is working on design of the technical divisions of integrated disease surveillance and response, knowledge management, and public health education and coordination. Previously she was program director at Nur Center for Research and Policy, where she led and managed research, technical assistance and policy projects focused on health systems. She has an MBBS from University of Health Sciences, and an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
