Rebecca Aime is the founder and CEO of Patapia. Being a refugee herself, Aime started engaging in small businesses at just thirteen, when she was forced to become her family’s head. In 2016, she joined Social Innovation Academy (SINA) where she learned about Applied Social Entrepreneurship and became a certified mentor. She is responsible for developing the Patapia training and mentoring program and is in charge of the overall Patapia implementation.
She has led Patapia to win several awards including being recognized by Meaningful 100; which recognizes individuals combining profit and purpose. As well as the Response Innovation Lab's COVID-19 response award, Angello Fund, Kwanda, finalist Echoing Green, and Young Global Changers including small grants from the Shine Fund and SINA Accelerator.
