Rajanthi has over 10 years of experience in the private and non-profit sectors. She currently works as Finance & Operations Director at The Rumie Initiative. Rumie is a Toronto-based startup that is revolutionizing global education by using low-cost, innovative technology to bring free digital education to some of the least developed parts of the world. Before moving to Toronto, she was based in New York as Global Head of Human Resources at 100 Resilient Cities pioneered by The Rockefeller Foundation. Prior to joining 100RC, Rajanthi was a Global Fellow, placed with M-KOPA in Kenya and Uganda, which provides financing for mini solar home systems in rural areas, as Acting Head of Finance & Data. Rajanthi has also worked in northern Ghana as a strategy consultant with NORSAAC, a local NGO focused on Women’s Rights and Governance. In that role, she worked to build internal operational management systems, as well as, grant management and fundraising strategies. She holds professional accounting designations (CMA, CPA) and a BA in Economics from University of Waterloo.
