Rafiul Alom Rahman is the founder of The Queer Muslim Project (TQMP), India’s first and only organization working on the intersectional issues affecting LGBTQ Muslims. Rafiul is an equal rights activist, and has facilitated communications, research and advocacy on gender, sexuality and human rights for international organizations, such as UNFPA India. For his work with LGBTQ Muslims in India, Rafiul was nominated as a ‘Young Changemaker’ by the business supplement of one of India’s leading dailies, The Hindu.
