Mustapha likes to describe himself as one “born, bred and buttered” in Nigeria. His key passions revolve around encouraging the adoption of renewable energy in Africa and developing talent that will ensure the continents’ continued growth. He was an Acumen Global Fellow in 2013 and spent his Fellowship Year working for d.light design in Nigeria. Prior to joining the Fellowship, he was a Business Advisor with KPMG for just over years. Currently, Mustapha leads a company in Nigeria working to eliminate the barriers that impact the adoption of renewables in Nigeria/West Africa, starting with solar and tackling barriers such as awareness, financing and distribution.
