Miranda Phua
Co-Founder & CEO at ZigWay

Miranda Phua is the Co-Founder & CEO of ZigWay, a social enterprise that helps lift people out of poverty in Myanmar. It supports last mile distribution of humanitarian aid, including both physical logistics and blockchain technologies. Miranda believes in poverty alleviation through entrepreneurial principles and her experience spans entrepreneurship, microfinance, and banking globally. Prior to ZigWay, Miranda co-founded CityTaps, an IoT social enterprise that helped people prepay for water via mobile money. She also led the Asian investment team at BlueOrchard Finance, an impact investor focusing on microfinance, worked as a finance advisor at United Nations Development Programme, and structured debt transactions for institutional clients at ANZ. Miranda was selected for Massachusetts Institute of Technology's inaugural Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp class and holds a Master of Applied Finance from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
