Miguel Queah
Miguel is the Founder of UTSAH, a prominent Child Rights agency based in Assam, in Northeast India. He is a young development practitioner and an activist specializing in Child Protection. Through UTSAH, Miguel has developed an innovative community-based child protection programme and has rescued more than 200 children from Child Labour(CL) in Guwahati city, since 2012. He has also established an Anti-Child Abuse Center that provides legal support to survivors of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA), the first of its kind in Assam. Miguel is the youngest Member of the Kamrup Metropolitan Child Labour Task Force Committee and the Child Protection Committee of the Government of Assam. He is an expert in Juvenile Justice and has been a part of several National consultative and policy making processes with regards to children's rights. He holds a Bachelors Degree of Arts in History from St. Stephen's College, New Delhi.
