Michael Papi is the Managing Director of Pteah Baitong Cambodia, a specialized last-mile distributor which helps underserved and vulnerable people through renewable energy projects, including distributed solar mini-grids and the distribution and financing of small-scale solar powered irrigation systems. Pteah Baitong is a for-profit social business created in 2015 by the French NGO Entrepreneurs du Monde, which Michael has led since early 2021. Michael has been leading social impact startups in SEA since 2015, including serving as Solar Home Myanmar's Country Manager. Michael has a passion for helping underserved and vulnerable rural people in SEA. He is an expert in last-mile distribution and bottom-of-the-pyramid financing models. He also has expertise in solar products for the off-grid market including solar home systems, solar powered irrigation systems, and distributed solar mini-grids.
