Mayfereen is the Founder at Grassroot, an organisation working on building capacity and empowering indigenous communities on issues of rights and livelihood from a gender equity and indigenous rights perspective. She is a Postgraduate of English Literature and a diploma holder of human rights from Columbia University. Mayfereen has represented India at various international levels such as UNESCO, UNPFII, and more to raise her concerns on land and territorial rights.
