Matthew is the Co-Founder and CEO of Turaco Valley Foods, a social enterprise based in Uganda. They invest into untapped value-addition opportunities of refugee-grown produce. This improves refugee farmers� access to reliable and equitable markets, increasing the availability of quality and affordable food and sustaining farmer skills training programme in refugee hosting areas. Matthew has a background in ecological design, rural livelihoods, migration and environmental politics. He studied political ecology at SOAS, University of London. Since then, he has practiced regenerative farming in the UK and has led on the design and management of livelihood and climate resilience programmes in East Africa for the NGO Cohere which offers specialist support to refugee-led organisations.
