Maryam co-founded Pakistan International Mountain Film Festival, a platform for spreading awareness and recognizing the unsung mountain heroes in Pakistan. PIMFF focuses on reviving independent filmmaking. She also runs a non-profit by the name of "PIYAR" - Pakistan Institute for Youth, Artists and Research, which is focused on providing the underprivileged with opportunities and social integration through arts and culture. Maryam recently founded a digital acceleration company called 21sep, it strives to bridge the gap between Information Technology and Business Services, giving its partners and clients the platform to accelerate, bring innovation and maximize business value by utilizing decades of experience and versatile creative knowledge. 21sep also mentors various start-ups in Pakistan, providing them with first hand market knowledge. She as an individual has vast experience in different verticals of the communication genre, with experience in book publishing, product branding and marketing, digital landscape and App launches.
