Mario Ferro
Founder of Waiser
Global Fellow
Mario Ferro is the founder of Waiser, aiming to provide affordable capital for education for all. He has been pioneering innovative financing for education in Asia since 2014. He previously cofounded Wedu a leading women empowerment organisation in Asia, raising more than 5 mil USD and serving thousands of women across 27 countries. He is a former Senior Advisor for Energy Investments for Greenpeace and a former Senior Consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Advisory as well as Acumen Global Fellow. He also worked on in the post-disaster relief effort after the earthquake on January 2010 in Haiti and trade promotion from small medium enterprises working in China.
Mario is an alumnus is Stanford GSB SEP Programme, holds a Master in Economics and Management from University La Sapienza and a MSc in Development Management, from the LSE. He has studied and worked in Italy, Finland, Ireland, United Kingdom, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Haiti, India, United States, Cambodia, Thailand, Japan and now Switzerland.
