Mariela is co-Founder of Corporación de Profesionales Construyendo Ciudadanía, an organization that works to make teenagers visible in public affairs, bys leading processes of participation and formulation of public policies in Córdoba and Sucre. She is a social activist and coordinates the project: "young people with an innovative proposal for citizen participation and peace building". Mariela is a lawyer from the Universidad Pontifica Bolivariana and master in government and public policy from Universidad EAFIT.
