Maheswari manages the breast cancer patient navigation program for Cancer Research Malaysia since 2011 and has 19 years of experience in the nursing field. She is on an important mission to downstage breast cancer and improve the 5-year survivorship of Malaysian women. A member of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Malaysia specialized in patient navigation, lymphedema therapy, oncology and palliative care nursing. She established the first demonstration model for breast cancer patient navigation programme at a state run hospital in Malaysia despite significant resource challenges.
