Javed Hussain is the founder and Executive Director of Sindh Community Foundation. He is engaged in project planning, designing, management, monitoring, evaluation, research, and impact assessment in the organization. He has a master's degree in sociology and M Phil in Development Studies. He has advanced certification in DRR from EPFL Switzerland. He has been involved in community-based projects and research on climate justice, the impact of climate change on women's health, and gender-responsive climate change policy and programs for climate resilience. He has also advocated for climate justice for women and men and created a support mechanism to protect society's vulnerable groups, including small farmers and women agriculture workers in Sindh. He was recently awarded the gender just climate solution award at COP27 Egypt.
