As a 2016 Global Fellow Javed helped develop and launch the Paygo solar business at Nizam Energy (Pakistan) to serve the offgrid & underserved segments. During that year and since, Javed is working to connect Urban/International Specialist-level care with the Rural Pakistani patients using telemedicine with his ImPakt Healthcare initiative. Javed started his career at General Electric and has 15+ years’ experience working in a variety of industries, from health care to insurance. A process-oriented Six Sigma black belt, the majority of his career has been spent focused on operations and process reengineering. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and his MBA from Ohio State University, which involved a 3-week consultancy in Ethiopia to work on a roadmap to eliminate rabies from the region.
