Aika is a Health Informatics professional, who is passionate about developing and exploring technologies for social change. Aika has over ten years of international experience from Canada and Kenya working in both large healthcare systems as well as start-up social enterprises including Jacaranda Health in Nairobi. At her current role as a Regional Designer with Medic Mobile she supports the Africa Team in conducting high-quality design research throughout the region using Human Centered Design methodologies. Aika is also the Co-Founder of Angel Riders an emergency first responder network in Kenya and Mathare Women’s Health Rights Justice Center. She has a Bachelor of Science in Computational Biochemistry and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics.
