Irfan Keshavjee

Irfan Keshavjee is the Founder of Karibu Homes, a company with over 2000 homes under development in gated communities in suburban Nairobi, and which enables home ownership specifically for low-income urban families. He is an Ashoka Fellow and Acumen Fund Fellow, and is also a cofounder of Honey Care Africa, an award winning social enterprise which enhances the incomes of over 20,000 smallholder farmers across Kenya, Tanzania and South Sudan through beekeeping. Mr. Keshavjee is also a non-Executive Director of Diamond Trust Bank, one of Kenya's largest Tier 1 regional banks. He has an MBA from the University of Oxford, UK and a Bachelors Degree in Civil-Environmental Engineering from Queen’s University in Canada. He has been awarded scholarships to both INSEAD’s Program on Social Enterprise, and the University of Oxford’s Advanced Management Program, and holds a certificate in Housing Finance from the Wharton Real Estate Centre, University of Pennsylvania.
