East Africa Fellow
Hital is the Corporate Affairs Manager of Cisco Systems, East and Central Southern Africa. She successfully launched the world’s first Cisco Networking Academy for the Deaf, which has enabled a traditionally forgotten group of people, to gain access to ICT Education and jobs to improve their economic status. She is currently implementing a TeleHealth initiative that is providing access to quality health care to rural communities. Her hard work and dedication have earned her awards such as Global Ambassador for Youth from Usher's New Look Foundation, Inclusion and Diversity Ambassador for Middle East and Africa for Cisco, and the Catalyst Award and Champion Award from Cisco. She has been nominated as one of Kenya's Top 40 Most Powerful Women Under 40 for two consecutive years. She is a Rockefeller Fellow, and is a board member of the Asante Africa Foundation and Human Needs Project.
