Havi holds an MA in Graphic & Information Design and PhD in Visual Communication from De Montfort University Leicester and BA (Hons) Design from the University of Nairobi. He helped found the Tafaria Creative Hub (cHub) in 2012. cHub is a social enterprise based at Tafaria Castle in rural Kenya whose goal is to explore unconventional approaches to developmental challenges by deploying visual and performing artists, craftspeople, designers, writers and other creative practitioners and postgraduate students as agents of social, economic and environmental transformation. cHub has, to date (2017), hosted 29 artists-in-residence in this endeavour.
