Gautam has a background in sustainable architecture, interaction design and non-fiction film. Running Jaggery is a passion for him. From rescuing waste materials in the field to deconstructing and designing them into usable products, he engages himself with various aspects of making a beautiful functional zero-waste product come to life. Gautam holds a B. Arch from University of Pune in India and an MFA in Media Studies from SUNY Buffalo in the US. Prior to founding Jaggery, Gautam had a corporate profile where he worked as a Design Leader at a Gurgaon-based German e-commerce company. He was responsible for creating the Design Thinking pillar at the organization, where all the design and creative processes were created and structured to make the vertical's functioning more efficient in managing multi-stakeholder requests. Gautam is currently an active member of the Catalyst 2030 community of global changemakers committed to achieving the UN SDGs by 2030.
