Ephrem is Communications Officer at Light for the World, an international nonprofit that provides accessible eye care services and education to empower people with disabilities to participate equally in society. Based in Ethiopia, Ephrem has over 10 years of nonprofit experience and throughout his career has focused on empowering those most in need, particularly marginalized communities such as women and persons with disabilities. His early experience as a radio program producer covering HIV/AIDS showed him that access to information affects not only one individual but also the community at large.
