Clara is the Founder of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs Cimientos del Hogar, that is today 50 women strong. Since its origins the organization has promoted the production, processing and marketing of dehydrated organic herbs and essential oils. Cimientos del Hogar has had an active role in involving the mayor's office in organizing the municipal chair for women, and Clara sits at the it. Clara is an active member of the Network of Settlers of Caquetá, a region in Colombia highly affected by the armed conflict.
