At WorldFish, Catherine contributes to the development of aquatic food systems for healthy planet and people. Currently, she leads efforts towards piloting and establishing pro-poor, inclusive, profitable and sustainable aqua-feed business models for smallholder fish farmers and aqua-enterprises in Zambia and Malawi. Through research and stakeholder engagement, 70 business cases have been established to reach 3,000 smallholders with productivity-enhancing feed, seed and knowledge, for profits and consumer nutrition. Catherine holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Humboldt University, Berlin.
