Benje Williams
Benje is the Co-Founder and CEO of Amal Academy, an education venture that helps Pakistani youth reach their professional potential. In 2014, Amal launched the Career-Prep Fellowship, an intense three- month program that develops the business skills, learning abilities and mindsets of low-income youth. They have worked with over 650 Amal Fellows – 90% of whom have gotten jobs within three months of graduating – and plan to reach 10,000 by 2020. Before Amal, Benje was an Acumen Global Fellow in Lahore. He has also supported entrepreneurs through various roles at Acumen, has launched an education center (and a failed energy venture) in Nairobi, and has worked as a management consultant in New York, at Dalberg in South Africa and at TechnoServe in Kenya. He holds a MBA from Stanford University and a BS from UC Berkeley, and grew up with his 9 brothers and sisters in Northern California.
