Ashish is the Founder of Shiksharth working in conflict affected tribal India in the state of Chhattisgarh. Shiksharth is a not-for profit educational research initiative focusing on education in rural and tribal India. Currently working towards engaging community and parents actively in excellent learning for their children by introducing contextual pedagogy in classrooms. Shiksharth works closely with the government towards improving quality of education in tribal areas. As an communications engineer-turned-education professional passionate about serving rural areas, Ashish has over 13 years experience working across multiple domains using technology and education across corporate like Infosys and NIIT and nonprofits such as Teach For India. He is a firm believer in the spirit of giving and has been volunteering and celebrating DaanUtsav (formerly known as Joy of Giving Week) which is India’s festival of giving celebrated every year between October 2-8.
