Andrés Sáenz Peñas
Andrés Sáenz has dedicated his life to strengthening social organizations and emerging leaders so that they have tools that contribute to peacebuilding in Colombia. During the last two years, he directed the Democratic Action for Peace project focused on strengthening democracy and political participation in the country, benefiting more than 6,000 people in more than 50 municipalities affected by the armed conflict. He studied government and international relations at Universidad Externado and has a master’s degree in Development and governance from Duisburg-Essen University.
