Ahlam Ismail is the community projects coordinator at Enlight and a second-year student of International Relations and Diplomatic Studies at Victoria University. Before working with Enlight, she worked as a volunteer in Climate Operation, LOUD, Haven for Africa Children, and Armani Boy Child Initiative. At Enlight, Ahlam creates community programs that empower the youth to make positive change in their communities.In 2021, Ahlam was crowned by Her Royal Highness the Queen Mother of Tooro Kingdom as Miss Earth Uganda 2021-2022. Using her platform, she advocates for the protection of the Earth, focusing on working with Uganda's youth to instill a culture of proper waste management in daily life and the innovation and practice of sustainable and eco-friendly business, Ahlam (Lamu) is also a renowned singer/songwriter and aspiring filmmaker.
