Abbas manages operational and strategic aspects of the Acumen India Fellows Program. In 2014, Abbas was selected as an Acumen India Fellow. Prior to joining Acumen, Abbas spent 5 years building Avanti, a social enterprise that delivers a high quality math and science education in the interiors of India. Abbas subsequently moved on to education and healthcare projects with India’s tribal communities and urban poor. Abbas holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
