Shanavas is an Indian Administrative Services Officer of Nagaland State Cadre. He is currently posted as the Principal Director in Department of School Education, Government of Nagaland. He manages end-to-end the functioning of 1953 government schools in Nagaland involving 20,000 teachers and 150,000 students. He is also the Project Director of World Bank funded Nagaland - Enhancing Classroom Teaching and Resources (NECTAR) which aims at revamping the public education system.
