Bangladesh Fellow
Shams Jaber
2022
Shams dropped out of college in 2013 to build an alternate school for children, and founded The Tech Academy, which was the first institute to teach Bangladeshi school-going kids robotics. The Tech Academy has so far taught around a thousand children in the Dhaka division and the Chittagong division in Bangladesh, and even kids from Jakarta and San Francisco. Currently, they have expanded to teaching animation, programming, and game development too. Shams's vision is to change the way children learn in school. Not just Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) but every other school topic.
